Re: Best Finds of 2013
Stumbled upon this yellow hub original hidden within a multitude of less rare Lesneys. I call it the 'diamond in the rough'. Discovered in an hoarder estate clean-up here in the Mid-West, U.S. of A.

Re: Best Finds of 2013
I was just about to throw a small box away, when it rattled. I found a #31 station wagon, #75 Alfa Carabo 'Streaker', Superking Brabham & a silver Superking Capri. I don't even remember buying them!!
Does this count as a best find?

Re: Best Finds of 2013
Not a real rarity, but a nice surprise. Earlier this year I bought a car on ebay from a train guy. He then contacted me and told me he had a few other cars, and asked if I wanted them. One he described as a #50, grey plastic wheels, chipped, B box - I like 50a and it was cheap, so I took a gamble - he wasn't able to send pics. I was more than happy with what I received:
I also found this in 2013...wasn't exactly flea market pricing, but a model I really wanted, a treat for myself:

That would be me - to be honest, well over twice as much as I've ever spent on a single car, but for some reason, 39a with spw pushes my buttons. I think maybe only a MIB 66a SPW would get me going more.

My non RW best find of 2013 is this red seats 1946 assembled Dinky Alvis with the prewar components including the rare laquer baseplate - an absolute timewarp not to be confused with the common post war Alvis with ridged hubs, plain steering wheel and black baseplate
