Re: Roadmaster Sunliner
Great pair of Sunliners Reg. You are finding some really nice Lone-Star 'Roadmasters' models and your collection is surely becoming quite comprehensive now.
Nice to see such a good example of the 'TOOTSIETOYS' version as these rarley come up for sale in the UK. This is model number 1473, introduced during 1960-62, the 4th of Four models made for the American market by Lone-Star.
The pale Blue 'LONE-STAR' version with White tyres comes from the 1965-66 production period.

Re: Roadmaster Sunliner
Sorry Reg, I don't kow what other colours were available on the Tootsietoys. I understand the range was very limited regards the marketing of the models and only 4 subjects all based on American cars were made for Tootsitoys before the aggreement between the Two companies folded in 1962. This became the First batch of models as listed below.
#1470, Chevrolet Corvair.
#1471, Rambler Station Wagon.
#1472, Cadillac Sedan.
#1473, Ford Sunliner.
All with the 'TOOTSIETOYS' branding on the baseplate.
A Second batch of 4 models went ahead for production but did not have the 'TOOTSIETOYS' branding on the baseplate, so were made as 'ROADMASTERS' and marketed in the UK from 1962-64, as listed below.
#1474, Chevrolet EL Camino Pick Up.
#1475, Dodge Dart Phoenix.
#1476, Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II.
#1477, Dodge Dart Phoenix Police Car.
All with the Lone-Star 'ROADMASTERS' branding on the baseplate.

Re: Roadmaster Sunliner
Very nice collection. I have both of these but am looking for the one in the photos. I think this type with the whitewall wheels were towards the end of production as they are usually harder to find. I have a couple of the whitewall issues but they are for another one of the Roadmasters.
