Found some more Matchbox in my storage closet, I thought I had given away the #53 to my nephew way back, glad I kept it. :D

They look to be in real good condition, hardly played with and they make a great little collection, we are also glad you kept them... :D

The Zodiac is particularly interesting because of the combination of non-standard interior colour with normal BPW (rather than hubs). Furthermore, since that looks like a standard baseplate, could it be that this is at an interior colour trial rather than a pre-production?

The most interesting item there is the bpw VW (if it's real).
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Yea Tinman I know, when I collected the VW way back I didn't think much of the wheels being black then I saw it was listed in the Mack catalog I bought in the 90's, then in the later catalog he said it might not be legit, then I saw one pictured on this site so I thought i'd shoot a picture. Looks legit to me though. ;)

Can you tell us more about the antecedent history of the VW you collected way back?

I played with the wrecker when I was a kid so its not mint, but it does have minimal ware just a few chips and rubs :)
