There are two variations of the riveted base plate. The very late base plate has a larger and thicker area for the rivet. Because the hole for the rivet was often cracked during the riveting, the area around the rivet was enlarged and strengthen.

Hi Antonin,
What a superb list and many thanks for adding all your notes, my notes do show I have GP 9x24 model with the B window pillar. I will have to dig the model out and check. J

Sorry for confusion. This is my internal remark for the variation with the cracked base plate after riveting.

Thanks Jason for checking it. I was not sure where is the end of the "A" window pillar and where starts "B" pillar.

Thanks Jason, I will update my 40b-proposal. Please check (and other members here too) your models, if you will find some more unlisted variations
