I have always said (and not in a way to make light of incidents or accidents, because they are always bad and sad) but a rollercoaster accident or a plane crash will lead to everybody double-triple-quadruple-quintuple checking everything. You never hear of anything bad in the same vein twice in close proximity? Why? Because after an accident everything is thoroughly checked for safety. After a while, human nature will always relax and cut corners. Eventually it leads to another accident. It is the same with incidents. Bad publicity is never good, and a company will work hard to make sure the same thing doesn't happen. For a while anyway. So I actually feel more comfortable at the moment going with them.

There was an article in the paper last week stating that United Airlines were reviewing their compensation for passengers who were asked to give up their seats and the compensation was to rise from $700 to $9000. If that the case then I will happily give up my seat..........I might even be happy to be dragged out of the aircraft to get my pocket full of wonga!!! :D
