Hi Dave,
You must be running out of room by now! :D

Great stuff again, I'd love a Turquoise Holden, but we hardly ever see them here, I wonder if most went to their homeland? The bronze bonnet is classic, wonder if these were painted as a separate item? I've seen a couple of weird combos / re-colours that were factory made, I think the end of the run was probably made up with whatever was left over in the stores or on the line.

Fodens are great mate, especially the Red flat tail, I paid loads for mine 20+ years ago, not easy to find.
The Atlas Fodens are really lovely, I wish they'd do a few none original colours though? Plus a Blue / Grey chain lorry for those of us with a gap on the shelf and a £5k gap in the bank balance! :D

Cheers

Hey Chris

Room is a slight issue, I've started to sell my Corgi collection to gain room and finance more Dinky's. There are a few on their way at the moment, the most noteable is shown below.

This water trailer is coming from Australia, so shouldn't take too long. Only minor fatigue in the hubs.

Chris .....you have a lot to answer for mate I have well and truly caught the pre war bug from you. It's a buzz when I manage to find items like these!!!

This item partially makes up for a near miss I had in the last two weeks, a seller I've bought off regularly didn't supply an item I'd won in a multiple lot. After I complained and received a refund He let me know that he was going to list a number of Fodens from a deceased estate, I enquired on an all green Mk 1 Foden chain truck and he said he had one and that he'd let me know when he was going to list it. He didn't let me know, listed it for a 33 quid buy now and unsurprisingly it was snapped up by some lucky punter inside ten minutes of it being listed....I was gutted

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,
See I warned you about Pre Wars, they're addictive mate!
Gutted is not the word on a Mk1 chain for £33.00! I paid nearly £200.00 for mine and it's battered with snapped rear chain posts. I've never seen a maroon one for real, but a mate had one and sold it, boxed, for £8000.00!
Selling your Corgi is no bad thing

Hi Dave,
PTT VW is lovely! Well done on that one.
Foden is a bit battered, but so's mine. That's got to be the bargain of the year for somebody. Green cab flash so all good, back swopped flat lorries have the silver cab flash.

Continuing my pre war acquisitions, The lot below represents my costliest single Dinky purchase to date. I generally avoid buying lots over the NZ customs import duty threshold as paying a couple hundred bucks extra just to get things through customs just grates. But this lot will be worth it, even with the extra tax I couldn't pass this lot up. All up less than 30 quid each, an absolute bargain price for old rare and desirable models with only minor paint damage and the odd missing headlight. Another general antique dealer purchase with just one toy lot listed, gotta love em!

As usual better close up shots once they arrive.

Hi Dave,
Fantastic lot mate! Well worth it at that price.
The 23's look really nice, best is that yellow 39f Studebaker though, that's a real prize! I'm still looking for a good one myself, they don't show up very often.

Yep, the Stude is really rare in that colour, it should tidy up nicely. I was resigned to the fact I wouldn't have one of these.

Waiting the two weeks until arrival will be hard.

You've done it again Dave, got some super condition models for a low price, something we all wish we could do. The planes and those Grand Peix cars are in amazing condition, clearly with very little play behind them.

I agree on the Yellow Stude, so few clean good condition examples around so to get a playworn example is acceptable.
