This may be a dumb question from a newbie, but ready some of the books on the regular series they say that the 1st 7 were issued under the Moko name, but they don't mention how many or which ones. With the new reproductions I'm a having a hard time determining if there are real or not.
thanks,

How man Moko Models are there?
Re: How man Moko Models are there?
Martin, the 1st seven models issued had moko on the box banner. Not hard to tell original and repro apart as the new ones all have shiny bright wheels. Literally models 1 -7 as per all the books you are reading.
Re: How man Moko Models are there?
Hello Martin, the first 7 models were issued in boxes that had the word Moko in script printing but the word Moko was
on the boxes for some time, Moko was the name of the distributor for Matchbox Toys when Matchbox bought the name
Moko out the the name was changed to Matchbox Lesney on the boxes.
There are six different Regular wheel boxes known as A-B-C-D-E-F showing six different designs on the box.
Here are the six different design boxes.

Re: How man Moko Models are there?
Sorry I am still a bit confused. In the photo above it shows a Moko box with the No.32.
Are you saying that the script version of the Moko box was only on the first 7 ?
How many of the models used the 2nd version of the Moko boxes? Are they more desirable than the Matchbox version of the boxes?
Thanks

That is correct.mcornes wrote:Are you saying that the script version of the Moko box was only on the first 7 ?
You might want to invest some time in exploring Pat's box site (a true labour of love and a wonderful resource) which I'm sure will clarify the situation for you.

Thanks that did help clarify things.
