Forgive me if I am being dumb but I can find no reference about red plastic parts on a what to me appears to be an early red variation, the roof is smooth and the base mounting holes are 28mm centre to centre
Is it a home brew

Re: Y1 model T red roof
I'm completely out of my depth here, but my first thought with any non-standard MoY roof is 'Giftware?'.
Re: Y1 model T red roof
I'm clueless on YY's and can't find anything that matches it the only red roofs I can find are textured
I have also just noticed the window surround and carriage lamps are unpainted all the others I can find are painted

Re: Y1 model T red roof
Roof is from the "Giftware" Series, window surround and carriage lamps would appear to have been stripped. Is that remains of red paint in the recesses?

Re: Y1 model T red roof
thanks Rod, as I say my knowledge on these is zero and didn't think of the giftware ones and yes there is traces of paint so possibly partial paint stripping has been done .......good job it was cheap as chips

Plated plastic components definitely. The screen has been painted gold.
