Need help with some Corgi Whizz Wheels

Post by motorman »

I have just picked up this lot for £7, mainly to get the "jaffa"

Anyway there was a few other cars amongst this lot in average condition including a number of Corgi Whizz Wheels which i know very little about.

Is there any one out there who could educate me on these whizz wheels please?

Hi Alex,
can't tell you much about the Corgis, but congrats on getting the Jaffa Mobile! I'm hunting for one myself, but so many are playworn.. Image
This one's in remarkably good nick, in my book, probably 8.5 out of 10. And to get it with all the others for SEVEN QUID is a major coup! Well done!

Cheers, Ken

You have the 2 most common versions of the Corgi 1/43 Beach buggy there, just need the blue one with white canopy to complete the set! Alfa P33 Juniors is nothing special, the real concept car was white as was the Rockets box artist sample, shame they picked this insipid blue for this budget version, the rockets release in Solarbrite purple is very nice

Thanks Mick for the information,

I suspected that they were nothing special. I have no Corgi Whizz wheels in my collection so I think i might just keep them.

Family bucket,

My little collection of Whizz wheels look utter crap next to your minters. I think mine are destined to go in my son Dylan's (aged 5) collection.

I know that he will love them just the way they are. Cheers.

The full-size version, #380, was in White as per the real car, just for some reason they chose not to do the miniature version in White as well. I had one of these when they first came out and it received very little play time, simply because it did not look like any car I could go outside and see on the street, so upto the very Day it left my ownership (early 1980's), it was mint in box, of course, wish I still had it now...!
