Hi Ian,
And there was me thinking you lads were going to be a source of cheap Spot On's for me
I've never seen any of the NZ models in the hand, do the bases say made in New Zealand? I only know the yellow boxes from the normal version.
Cheers

Re: Triang Spot On.
Made in Uk or Northern Ireland info is removed from base but made in New Zealand not added.
Re: Triang Spot On.
Not always Matt - I have seen some with Made in New Zealand on the base... I'll check at home and see if I can find one to photograph....mattrove wrote:Made in Uk or Northern Ireland info is removed from base but made in New Zealand not added.

Re: Triang Spot On.
Ian would be great to see a model with New Zealand on base. My small NZ spot on collection have bases with no country of manufacture.

Hi all,
Had a good Spot On week this week, these two came up at a pretty reasonable price....
Austin Loadstar Artic.
No crate, but I already had the MGA waiting.
AEC BRS Wagon.
Missing tailboard, touched in cab roof, but still nice enough.
Rover P5 with lights.
Missing a bit of bumper.
Also got a boxlid for the Ford Thames British Rail Artic, just need the model now.
Cheers

I am new to this forum today and it is interesting to see and discuss other collections.I have been collecting Spot-On for 35 years this year (this month in fact-March).I had purchased three Spot-On models belatedly in 1966 (when I was 16) from the Coop toy department in Luton. They were a red Austin Mini,Light blue Humber Super Snipe and a grey NSU Prinz.I dug these out of my original collection of models from my childhood days (including some Dinky,Corgi,Siku pre 1967 plastic 1/60 models and Matchbox 1-75) in 1983.That was it I was hooked and within days was spending money I didn't have!
The Mini shown is one of those models and although not mint is in excellent condition with good box considering how long I've had it! I hope you find it interesting.I hope to post more models as time allows.Watch this space!
Happy collecting everyone!
