Correct Johnboy, 'Internet Explorer 27', (I think that's what version we are on now...!!!) is very reliant on user settings and other programmes used with it, like your own Virus software etc.

I imagine if you could use a PC without any 'net' browsing and security software installed, it would run at quite a pace, but we simply don,t do it that way, even if you never actually use the Internet, (My Father) it is handy to have Virus software installed so you can scan for it on any removable media like memory cards and discs, borrowed from someone who has been on the 'net', there may be a Virus just waiting to leap from their memory card, into your 'supposedly safe' computer and run amock, it does happen.

Here is a tip for when posting several images at the same time.

If you have several images ready to post onto the forum, you may want those images to stay in a certain order, say...A,B,C and D. It is very easy to just post them in that order, but when you have submitted them and you see the posted article, your images will be in reverse order, so post them in reverse order...D,C,B and then A, now when you look at your posting, they will be in the correct order, important if you are showing casting or colour variations in the order they came from Lesney.

I only figured this out just recently Duh!.

It's a shame you can't move the pictures about once you have posted them.

Hi motorman, go back into your post by clicking the 'Edit' button towards the top right of your typed reply. You can now delete your pictures and repost in the reverse order you want them.

If you only have two pictures posted, delete both and repost in the opposite order they originally appeared.

Give it a go, any probs give me a shout,

Here's an easy way of having the Forum do the resizing for you.
Instead of posting "", you can force a resize by using "", where 100 x 50 is the width (in pixels) x the height (also in pixels).
I assume BB-code must have a similar function for images which are directly uploaded directly to the board (these use the 'Attachment' rather than the 'Image' tag), but I'm still working on that!

After resizing, the photo can be saved by "right clicking" and then clicking "save as image".
One may wish to rename the file before saving so as to not overwrite their original.

That is a really good site and I wish I'd tried it sooner. I've tried making an avatar pic in 'Paint' about 20 times and no matter which photo I used and how small I made the size I couldn't get the file size below about 30kb. Two minutes on this site and now I have an avatar, and it's better looking than me :D

In an earlier posting about Editing Pictures, "johnboy" mentioned he could not 'Cropp' a picture while it was in 'Preview', this puzzled me, so I went away and had a look into this and sure enough, you can. There is a box or button along the top of the Preview screen marked...Fix...click on this and you will get an option to 'Cropp' your image.

Hello forum members.

I have to be away from the forum for several days at a time and while away recently, we have had new members join us, but while posting their images, they clearly are unaware of how their images will look once posted to the forum's sections and threads.

"Motorman" is kindly re-sizing some of the really large images for easier viewing and I have done this a few times myself, it does not change the image so the models etc, won't suddenly change into any 'HTF' versions, it just makes it easier for most of us to see the image, without scrolling or any reduction methods.

For future referance, the subject of editing and re-sizing of images has been covered in the thread you are reading now, just go back to the first pages and have a little read and try it out for yourself, if you muck it up, just delete your posting (this forum allows you to this) and try again).

Regards,
