Hi Reg,

Thanks for pointing this out - I'd never noticed before, and have one of each (nice one!). I agree that the number was added later, as it is on a raised panel, while the plain "Pontiac" is flush to the base. My memory of the Macau castings is that the "Pontiac" is on a raised platform too, with the number having simply been removed from the mould.
