New Collector ( Real Or Fake Dinky? )

Post by voguev8 »

Hi
I have been collecting Dinky cars for a few months and was wondering if anyone knows if the attached is a real model or a home made special
Thanks Duncan

Welcome to the forum Duncan. I have resized your images for ease of viewing because they were too big. This forum need images to be resized to 650 x 350 pixels approx to ensure the perfect size of image.
As for you question regarding the authenticity of this model I will have to pass this one over to the Dinky experts amongst our members.

Enjoy your time here Duncan

I am not a Dinky expert, but as i'm laying bored in my hospital bed I will offer my suggestions.
Both outer casted rear axle ends look like they are in the right place, position and size. So I guess someone saved bis Racer on this unusual way after the loss of one wheel.

I'm no expert either, but it looks like a Midget Racer that's had a hard life and someone has kept it on the road by using some ingenuity.

I agree, it is an original Dinky Toy, but as has been said above, somebody has come up with a novel way of keepinh the model roadworthy.

Oh, welcome to the forum.
