i just won a black knobby wheel 34b vw caravette and went to nicks guide to see where it falls into the variations list and as i was reading it...it said...the fine black and fine grey treads were hard to find...and saying the black knobby wheels model is common...i thought...was i mistaken to buy this variation...i must have a couple if they are common as i know i have some black wheels models in my collection...so i checked mine and i have 3 fine tread black wheels models...so thats when i began to think that nicks listing may be incorrect
so the question is...is nicks guide correct or incorrect?

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

I can not help with that particular model, but yes, there are errors and it will be us collectors that are uncovering the errors and its good to bring them into the open forum for all to check and I am sure Nick will check this when he can, as will those members with the same model.
