Yes Steve, they do look to be in different colours. Because the models are not in real mint condition, I can only suggest a bit of fading has taken place and due to my impending House move they are not easy to get hold of to have another look, sorry.
I think a quite few of the regular wheel version's of the greyhound coach which I have looked at the writing is grey...I have a superfast version somewhere and the writing on it is grey too.

Hi Steve,
The difference is primarily because the clear window coaches have decals, whereas the later issues changed to labels - the labels being more blue-grey in colour. The other change noted by Lee came later towards the switch to SF wheels, where the leading edge of the label was squared-off rather than diagonal. The issues with decals always had the diagonal leading edge.
Some more new matchbox models which me and my daddy have bought in the last 2 weeks, the one's I chose are in the first picture and I really like the tank transporter the most...Kai
I tried to get him to take a photo with his new model's but he's gone all conscious recently and very moody and wasn't having any off it
Thanks for looking..Lee and kai

Very nice addition but what are the rivets like, these are often tampered with to change the overall colour of the body. Oh, a few nice models as well...
Ghosty.
P.S. He or She and what name can we use for the nipper.
Thanks Ghosty and glad to hear you are well...I will sort out that for you all asap but will be a while yet mate as he's only 4 week's old.. ..he's called Jacob by the way.
