Trying my hand at restorations

Post by Bob/Ohio »

Being winter time, I have had sometime to try doing a couple restorations. The Jeep was just a repaint, and the Hatra loader was put together from two junk ones.

They're both very nicely finished, have you got anymore underway?

Thanks for the comments. I have a few more to do, but trying to match paint is hard, and new decals are not avaliable for all models. I like restoring ones that are in really bad shape, like these two were. Not sure what is next, but I will find something.

A couple of good models there Bob. The Hatra does look good, very factory finish to it, you should do a few more heavy equipment models to keep it company.

Thanks Kevin,
If I do another piece of heavy equipment, I hope it doesn't have a loader on it like the Hatra. I took all the pins out of this one and took all the arms and bucket completely apart, to replace broken pieces, not fun!

Here is a M8 Guy Warrior transport that was in my junk pile. Trailer was too far gone to restore, so it became a custom.
