Hi all, just had a Email from the Inland Revenue saying that i have over paid tax by £152, click here to get refund it is another scam going round so be on your guard. Pete.

Just reply with the suggestion you are near the tax office so you can pop in and collect it yourself...

Never, ever reply to spam since it lets the spammer know that yours is a live e-mail address.

What I should have said was reply by letter, not any email you use so Hugh's advice is sound.

i've had one of these also in a txt to my works phone .......HMRC would not contact anyone like this offering a refund .....they wait for you to apply & claim it

Hi all, i love the scam phone calls i pretend i am a little old lady living all alone & ask them if they can bring me food round as i haven't eaten for weeks, i ask them where they re from & whats the weather like, they usually say somewhere in India & i say is that near Blackpool. Sometime i have a whistle & give that a good blow down the phone they usually ring off them Pete
