NEC (27/12/13)

I almost didn't go, because when I got up (4:45 a.m.) there was a thunderstorm with hail and gale force winds going on. Anyhow, I'm glad I did because it turned out to be a really good fair.
There was lots of interesting new stock and, in spite of a few empty table (apparently cancellations because of the weather), plenty of dealers I didn't recognise.
Anyhow, I met up with Banbury Pete (who hasn't been posting because he's been holidaying abroad a lot), our Tim, Chris (sorry, didn't catch your surname) and Rocketron Graham
I had finds aplenty including a mint variation code 2 45a, a very presentable blue-light 55c, a tyre donor for my red RW 8e and, best of all, a variation code 1 41a (i.e. without decal alignment guides). I'll post photographs of the 41a in due course but what I can report is that, although it's a bit battered, it shows no evidence whatsoever of ever having carried number decals (as Nick suggested might be the case on his catalogue page).

Was a reasonable fair and I found some good non matchbox bits, Hugh's 41a was a wicked find and thanks to Pete I'm playing Star Wars all afternoon lol
