I need help, ebay help!!!

Post by brainstrust »

Hi all, for some reason my Ebay Australia operates very very slow. The rest of my computer is fine and Ebay USA is good too. Just my Australian Ebay. It can take minutes to go to the next pages of searches. I've tried clearing cache and the regular things but no help. I'm using Chrome and haven't had any issues apart from the last 2 weeks. Can anyone help????????? :(

Hi,
do you have the same problem with another browser?
You should check also for virusses, hijacks or ransomware.
You should also use ccleaner and clean your pc and make a reboot.
Do a speedtest!
Yes I know these things are regular, you did this.

I'm also having probs with Ebay. Page comes up but then takes ages before I can scroll down. The cursor keeps flashing so I presume it is the photos and listings that are loading one by one and I get it on all Ebay sites. I have popups blocked shouldn't be them or its the stupid ads that are causing it - never had this problem before

I have not experienced this myself, but it is usually caused by the adverts constantly loading and un-loading. I would try an 'Adblock' program, they have worked really well for me on many websites.

An adblocker has the added advantage of blocking a possible route into your computer for malware and viruses (and I can vouch for it significantly speeding up page loading).

It was on Hugh's recommendation I used 'Adblock' while trying to navigate our old 'Lefora' forum and the results were quite amazing.

Use it on all browsers. Lots of sites now put up messages asking you to turn it off while on their site as adverts help with site funding. I NEVER turn mine off. Would you open your front door and let an unknown salesman wander round your house to see what you have?
