Hi Dave this is a rare find and could actually be a wheel trial but a lesser case scenario an oddity.Eitherway its a big score! :D
Let the experts have their say on our first sighting of Maltese Cross wheels on a Fandango.

Thanks for the encouraging swift reply numi :D opps got the wheels wrong, said i didn,t collect superfast lol  ,so it may turn out to be a good find after all ,there was a mix of superfast and regular wheels in the bottom,it could be a couple of brothers toy collection but it s not uncommon to sell diecast in a suitcase but overall i think this was a real "loft" find has theres nothing after the late 1970,s in the case.

What a great surprise to find this in a job lot. I have never seen a Fandango with Maltese wheels before, very very nice :D

Right i have looked through the case and noticed a couple of dodgey chargers, the green one has a mottled red base, the red one has sparkly amber windows, one side of it has thick paint the other side thin ,tan roof and pink paint around the rivets, some or all of these points could be normal, poor spraying sunfade etc.

The Challenger's windshield and roof have most probably discoloured due to environmental influences such as heat. This model is particularly prone to this kind of discolouration, and if both windshield and roof are affected, there is hardly any doubt.

The Charger's baseplate, on the other hand, may have been painted like that at the factory. It looks interesting, and I do not remember seeing one quite like it before.
