Well done Roland, they are clearly orange in that line up and in great condition by the looks of it.

I assume you will be trying to find a Superfast Iron Fairy in RW colours to add to this line up at some point. :D

Yes, that would be fine. I would give away one of the light orange ones for such an example.

Still missing this variation in my collection. Now you can find the rest of the variations. In the inside of the support of the boom you can find nr 42 on the right en on the left number 1 to 4. Also the axcle covers comes in different directions with the word superfast.

Remember the axel covers are easily removed and replaced so I wouldn't read too much into axels with 'superfast' going in different directions to be honest.

Maybey you are right. Explain that to me : by some models it is accepted and by other not. Where is the fine line in juging that.
Have here 4 played iron cranes, never been touched and I have 3 different ways of axcle covers. My oppinion is, either whe accept the way of axcle for not one model or for every model. There is no gray zone for accepting otherwhise. If i'm not mistaken even by falkensteiner there are pictures of models with covers the other way.

I am right and so no premium should be paid for any variation of axel cover.

That being said Jason 'nearlymint' has a #66 Greyhound bus with creamy white axel covers which I have never seen in the hand before, other than that standard covers are easily changed. It is conceivable that axel covers were fitted in the factory facing in opposite directions.

The axle covers are simple plastic components which are clipped in place. They are symmetrical along both the long and the short axes, and are therefore reversible (which would have simplified and therefore speeded-up fitting). My guess is that they would have been grabbed from a container and pressed into place, with no thought whatsoever for their orientation. As such, with the exception of non-standard colours, no premium should be attached to any particular combination of axle clips.

I must agree with the above comments
Apart from something like J's greyhound bus I wouldn't pay much attention this type of variation including the red clips which can be swapped between models
