Info needed on this Matchbox pin

Recently I acquired this Matchbox pin, never seen it before.
Anyone got some more info about it, where it came from etc.?

I've never seen one like it. I must comment that the pin looks very large in your picture, not the type you would push through your best suit to wear to a show or a Convention. I am sure one of our members will have a better idea of its original purpose. kwakers
