Great photo and nice to see comparison of two different factory errors on the same item on the same model.

Got this lot from Vectis last year:

The description was: Matchbox Superfast 4 x No.39 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow (1) metallic red body, cream interior, bare metal base; (2) metallic silver body, red interior, bare metal base; (3) metallic silver body, cream interior, bare metal base; (4) metallic champagne gold body, white interior, bare metal base - all Near Mint to mint in Good Plus to Excellent type K box, some of which are creased. (4)

It was the car on the left that interested me. Never seen a silver body with cream interior. So here's the car. Honest to say I don't like the rivet condition much. So, still possible an ex factory model?

Without some sort of factory provenance, it is difficult to be convinced this model is ex-factory. To me it looks drilled and therefore I suspect a simple interior swap. Had the rivet been pristine, there would very likely be no doubt about the model's status as genuine, but for now I think it is previous owner tampering.

There is a picture of this one earlier in the thread on page two. Is it a late issued model?

It is amazing how ugly the frontal appearance of this car is without proper paired headlamps and as a real Silver Shadow II owner myself, I obviously find the front of the car to be a very handsome design!

So, Ritchie now has Three examples of this factory error, I have yet to find my first, I must get to more toy fairs... :D
