Keep em coming Christian. This is quantifying the famous saying...''More than half of all the Rolls-Royce cars made are still on the road!''

Yes, but that's not only down to build quality. It's also because they tended to lead pampered lives.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:This is quantifying the famous saying...''More than half of all the Rolls-Royce cars made are still on the road!''

Correct Hugh and the last car shown above was the first owner driver Rolls-Royce, something that did not need a chauffeur so the build quality from this point onwards would really be put to the test!Idris wrote:Yes, but that's not only down to build quality. Hello Kevin !
I would like you to light us of your knowledge.
This picture is from Trouville and has been sent in 1956.
Do you know who is the Bentley coachbuilder ?
And what about what seems to be a Silver Wraith behind (maybe a Silver Dawn) ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Stephane.
The Bentley is a Mk VI with coachwork by James Young and is a 2 door saloon/coupe from around 1947-48.
The Rolls-Royce is a Silver Wraith with H.J. Mulliner coachwork from around 1949-51.
Nice period picture, thank's.
