This is a genuine manual from the head of U.K. Sales and is a unique one off. The manual covers all Lesney products on sale in 1981. YOU WONT FIND ANOTHER, this is real Lesney history right here. I would love it to go to a member of this forum but I'm not giving it away, how do you price these things ?? Anyone interested can inbox me and we can start negotiating a fair price.

Tjlglass, that's a wonderful bit of Lesney history.
Dose the red folder have word Lesney, yellow or gold embossed in the lower right hand corner of the front of the folder?

Tjlglass, I have some of these salesman's catalogues and they came with a red Lesney ring binder like yours which is why I asked about the embossing on the front.
I don't mean to be rude but from what you show in the photo's, it appears to be just a bulk standard 1981 trade or dealer catalogue. Do you have any other photo's?
You are right salesmen would have used them but they usually came will other accompaniments like price lists, order forms, promotions and latest release papers and photo's to name but a few items.
These items are what makes them very appealing to collectors that want something a little different.

This did come with other stuff Steve but I'm keeping it for now, will post a picture. As far as I'm aware and been told, only salesmen had these and not shops who were given trade catalogues.

Tim showed this to me and I would say it is more than just a collection of pages from a trade catalogue, there is other pieces of ephemera.

The earlier manuals I believe were stamped up with company logos etc I think they were made more basic in the early 80's when the company started going down hill, like this one and cost cutting measures were introduced.
