Hmm, very interesting, 3D printers that can 3D print replacement parts the 3D printer was using in the first place. Is this maybe the path to perpetual motion!!

Awesome car trailer Stephan!
I love the trailer hauling the old sports car behind the sedan. The possibilities are endless.
You are really expanding the possibilities of customizing old toys while keeping the spirit of the regular wheel Lesneys.
I hope you are keeping your files. I would guess that other modellers might be interested in purchasing custom accessories for their projects.

The files are saved on my Laptop and on a external hard drive too.
If somebody want´s a one of these parts - they can be reproduced easy.

I found the body of this model on a fleamarket.
Ii´s not really worth doing it but for me it´s fun.

This is so fascinating because we are now able to bring back to life models that have been assigned to the rubbish bin and at no point is this Van going to be mistaken for a genuine factory model by Lesney.

Thats great.I moulded some tyres for a big Gatten Jag kit as they where missing, spent loads on all the rubber casting stuff and sold the kit cheap on Ebay.Then the buyer said there where more bits missing.My fault so I gave him his money back in full...[Nice guy me] Few months later it popped up on Ebay again and I bid and bought it [no discount would you believe] I then relisted it as a box of spare parts and sold it again at a loss....The thing is I enjoyed the making of the parts it was a pleasure seeing it again and knowing it was going to some good homes.....I seem to have gone off track hang on-------------Yes its great to build your own parts even if they end up else where its the satisfaction of producing some thing from nothing.

something new in this thread.
The Bedford tanker mostly came without the interior.
I made one for my ARAL tanker and because the model was for the German market I made it LHD.

Good idea with the left hook steering position.

I am still learning about what can be 3D printed, but I was wondering if clear items can be done such as replacement glazing units. If yes, how clear are they and do they require a lot of refinishing and polishing to make them usable inside models such as the Matchbox, Corgi and Dinky etc.
