Preparing for Hurricane Matthew

Post by Tinman »

Preparing for a near direct hit by catagory 4 hurricane Matthew. The wife and I have until 5:00 PM today to evacuate and are going to make a decision in just a few minutes about evacuating to a shelter or attempting to stay. The small collection I have left will have to remain here and ride out the storm (if the house is still standing). One thing is certain, we will lose all services after tonight (power, cell and land line phones and possibly water/sewer) for an undetermined number of days afterwards. Thirteen years ago, we lost all services for nearly three weeks following three back to back hurricanes. Wish me luck guys, I'm going to need it!
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Joe, if you can still see this, for God's sake be careful my friend and do what is necessary to keep yourself and your partner safe, good luck.
