Blister packs

Post by matchboxkiwi »

Why on these Japanese blister pack header cards are the vehicle illustrations not of matchbox toys?

How ever this one blister pack dose show a matchbox model!

What is the writing behind the model saying? Is it telling the buyer something about the model or is it just the usual copyright warnings and licensing messages?

I don't think we have any, the nearest we have is Gerrit's ("Ecclesley"), partner, She can speak Japanese.

My mate Squid is in Japan and his wife is Japanese - I've asked for a translation of the text - his immediate reply was it looks like gibberish but he will get Chie to check his translation. i had thought the 16000 might have referred to the price in yen, but apparently not...

Should I bring the blister packs down to the swapmeet at the weekend. I could get them back off you in November.

No point as Squid is in Okinawa! He says: "It is pretty much gibberish but basically it says "Let's get 5 of these english flags and join 16,000 other members". It was real Japanese. It just didn't have much to say. Maybe the smaller print behind the car had something more interesting to say but it is not clear enough in the photo."

Japanese Boxed Set.
What is the car pictured on the box lid ? Funny how any old picture would do in Japan for an illustration. Not even related to the models in the series. See blister pack
header cards.

Steve - is it a very bad representation of the #75 Ferrari Berlinetta?

I don't know which model that is but according to my phone, the large text on the box translates to 'World Car Collection' with a company name and address in smaller text underneath.

Great Pics
