This Commer ice cream canteen needed some new color, a window unit and labels.

After dismantle the model I found this strange inlay with a big Flash.
Looks like a divider wall in the cabin.

Thats how it looks like now.
The top label was much too big so I had to cut it a bit.
Than some mistake happend by applying it and I had to cut a bit more.

The decal was not too long. It was a copy of the first decal which was indeed larger. It may seem like it was too long because it does not fit within the decal positioning lines on this newer casting. It will fit as it came but it has to be positioned directly above the windscreen with very little gap.

Even more important: Please post these models and details on the Restoration and Customs forum. 8-)

The early variation long decal fits on the model like this:

Thanks Tinman for the info.
Shame on me - now I managed to make my first own oops model - shall I post it in the oops-thread than? :D

I will make a new thread for my future custom and restaurations.

If it's any consolation the model looks superb with that vivid red paintwork mate. :D

Red suits this model great!

You could have taken the first cut part and add it above the big one

Yes red goes good with most models. Thanks.

Nice job Stephan I like the colour, infact it looks a little like the ice cream van what visits my street sometimes.

It was suggested by "Tinman" earlier that Stephan's custom Ice Cream Van be moved into the the bigger restoration/customs thread. This I agree with, but having a look through the past pages here, Stephan has started to customize and post the results quite early on, around page 3 I think. So, for completeness, I suggest this whole thread started by Stephan be moved rather than specific posts of Stephan's customs and models aquired by Stephan that he will not rebuild or custom build, can be posted in the original thread...''Look at What I Have Got'', he just needs to remember this... :D
