Where's Dan?

Have I missed or has anyone heard from Dan ( bradpitiful) lately? No posts in awhile so I hope all is well.

Hello Jay.

Dan last visited the forum on Sat Aug 06, 2016 11:10 pm.

So while he did not post anything, he appears to be fine, but thank's for thinking of him, I am sure he will appreciate the fact we are aware of our members activities.

Sadly our old friend Dan (Brad Pittiful) very recently lost his dear Mum.
I will contact him and let him know the forum members have been asking about him. I'm sure he will post here soon.

here i am...and thanks for thinking of me and i received nicks email...im sorting things out after the passing of my mom (with the help from my brother)...her estate...her belongings...im trying to get a job...well i got one...and they are being very annoying with the background check...credit check and drug test...i feel like im trying to get a security clearance for a government job

the job i got was supposed to start august 1 but the background check process delayed my start until august 15th

anyway...money is tight...so i really cant buy any models...but i have kept my eye on ebay...but when it comes to bid on an item...i just think...i cant right now...i need to use the money for bills and everything else for the house

i check the forum often and while im not posting much i still keep my eye on you guys

one thing i have be doing is trying to get in shape and losing weight...this time last year i was around 260 pounds...while i was lifting weights i sat around too much as i could do much as i was caring for my mom and put on too much fat...so i decided to change my diet...i cut out cakes and candy and by january 1st i lost 20 pounds weighing in at 240 pounds!

i kept at it and still sitting around with just a diet change lost a few more pounds...but when my mom fell i was 235 as i just weighed myself at the end of march...she fell on april 6th...so in about a week i lost 15 pounds due to not eating much and stress over the eventual realization my mom was going to die

after a month or so i started walking and i reached my goal i set in january to be below 220 pounds by the end of summer but it was july...so i kept it up and im almost at 200 pounds...which i should be reaching this week as i will check my weight before i start the new job...i know that it will not be an active job as they told me there will be mostly sitting

so thats what i have mainly been up to...getting ready to go back to work...missing my mom so much...trying to sort things out so i can stay in my house and not have to sell and move due to not being able to afford to live here...i think ill be ok though

glad to hear your ok Dan, I lost my sister and dad within 6 months of each other and it is a stressful time, that was 22yrs ago and it does ease with time
you weight loss is awsome and I bet you feel better for it (wish i could do it)
congratulations on the job and it won't be long till the first pay day comes bearing toy tokens

Hi Dan, good news on the job and you are doing the right thing regards your Mum's estate and affairs, so putting models to one side for this is no bad thing. As regards the weight loss, well that is also good news but be carefull, don't overdo it, moderation is the key.

im sorry for your loss...cant imagine losing two family members so close together...time does heal...i dont feel nearly as bad a s i did back in april...but i still feel bad...you know how it is

my weight loss is happening with the same amount of food ive been eating...im just now am moving around...something i didnt do when my mom was around...i couldve of...there was plenty of down time when she was sleeping or reading...but i felt i needed to be near as possible to her...live and learn i guess...thanks i appreciate it

oh i did buy one model since my mom passed back in mid may...it was a rare one and priced so cheap i couldnt pass it by...#5 lotus with open bumper ends

It's nice to hear from you Dan and I hope the job works out for you. I remember when my parents died, things were full on sometimes; getting stuff organised and sorting out, and then there were periods of inactivity with grief and memories. As time went by, routines kicked in again and having some goals helped me at the time. So getting some work and getting back into shape may help you. Don't feel guilty that you life is starting to move on because that's the natural order of things and I'm sure it's what your mum would have wanted. Although there are changes in your life, the love and the memories you have are constant.

Dan,
Good to hear from you and thank you for the update. It sounds like several things are moving in the right direction for you even if it may sometimes feel difficult.
Losing a parent is SO difficult, but it seems like time is the best healer.
Certainly miss your posts, but certainly understand and looking forward to the future when "eagle eye" will be back on the scene.
Take care in the meantime and know that MANY are thinking about you..................
