Hi Chris,
Isn't it the Pacer that has a long passenger door and shorter drivers door ?.

I have trouble getting out of the beemer even though it is a two door, I have the seat so far forwards in order to reach the pedals I often have to slide the seat back when getting out.
I have owned over a hundred different cars but looking back over the years the one I would like to own today would be my 1965 Thames 15 cwt panel van (70a), It was my first roadworthy and legal vehicle, I should have kept it and saved myself a fortune.
I have a mate that still owns and drives a Thames which he bought in the early 70's.

Gary's Thames was chopped and the roof guttering was removed, Last time I heard it was powered by a 318 dodge, It has a custom built chassis built by Gary Layton and a narrowed rear axle.
He originally had a standard Thames van powered by a 4.2 Jaguar engine, he once told me that it did 0-60 in 5 seconds, had a top speed of 140 but at 140 it needed 2 miles to come to a complete stop!.

Hi Nick,
Yes that's right, a long passenger door so you can get out of the back safely onto the pavement, in LHD, only problem with mine is it's now the driver's door!
Just one more silly thing that makes me love it.
I remember Gary's Thames, it's beautifully done, good to see there are a few old Rodders still about!

Here is the Corgi Toys version, (they also did a 'Junior' version) in around 1/36th scale, from the mid to late 70's.
