I don't know the specifics, but 'BARTHOLOMEW' are famous for publishing large fold-out 'Map' type books on all subjects, marketed as educational media rather than actual maps for navigational use. Yours is 1977 dated and it seems to have been a good idea for Lesney to use the aircraft edition to advertise their kits.

Very unusual piece of ephemera for the Matchbox collector.
