K69A Volvo sedan & Europa Caravan - Issued in 1980. All England cast.
Similar to the Jaguar set but with a volvo station wagon. Of note, the red caravan is only found with the volvo station wagon set.

Is the Red Volvo showing signs of a factory spraying fault or is the roof finished with that mottled effect to represent a Vynil covering?

Hi Ghosthunter,

Sorry, I do not know the answer but I do have another duplicate and it is in similar condition. It would have been an exciting time to be around when they were planning and producing this range. Who knows how many prepros/color trials they threw away or gave to kids to play with and eventually destroy.

If I remember correctly, my childhood blue Volvo had a similar textured finish on the roof. No longer available to check I'm afraid, and my only current example is red with a shiny roof and the push-in bumper feature seems to have been economised away.
