3,000 model car collection goes to Auction.

Anyone see this story on BBC Look East.

Based in Northampton, a collector's life-time collection is sadly having to be put up for auction by His Family. It consists of 3,000+ models from Corgi, Dinky and Matchbox.

I have a recording of the story but will only be able to provide a few screen-grabs.

We have a gentlemen's agreement not to mention live auctions unless I) the poster is also the seller, ii) a Member wishes to warn other Members about a fake, or iii) further information is being requested on a particular model.
Having said all that, the cat's well and truly out of the bag on this one, so I suppose we'll have to let the thread run.

Sorry Hugh, I posted the details from the point of view of enjoying a piece on TV about a fabulous collection, not from the pooint of view of 'Spoilers' and my screen-grabs would be posted after the auction results are made public.

Anybody who gets the regular email sheets from the likes of Liveauctioneers, Valueable etc will have seen this lot. Not sure about the Regular wheels but not much out of the ordinary with the rest of it. Nothing for me this time.
