Re: Hello from RJ - Brazil
Welcome Hudson good to have you on board. I love collecting Brazilian and have bought 1 or 2 from yourself in the past, so I am glad to have another Brazilian matchbox collector on the forum. Please feel free to impart any wisdom you have regarding the history of Brazilian matchbox and I look forward to seeing more images of the models in your collection. Of the ones you have shown so far I love the #57 Wildlife Truck and the #44 Boss Mustang, superb!!

Welcome Hudson, thank's for bringing those models to the forum. We do like to see what collectors are into. Do please share the stories behind how you got into collecting Matchbox. Do you have the 'ROLY' Rolls-Royce convertible that you could show us.

I'm not a big collector, I was born in 1970 and had some matchbox from my childhood, in 2009 started collecting inbrima matchbox but even here in Brazil cost too much, I could not buy from those who know and collect, since search collections original matchbox of people who have rarities saved since the 70s, I became a little knowledgeable of inbrimas here in Brazil know some of the largest inbrima collectors, already found some pieces for their collections, perhaps someone here forum has bought some the models I found and went to some resellers in Brazil, sorry my english because I use a translator program,
a few have found in recent years ..

Hello, many models even here in Brazil are fake, talking to some of the greatest collectors who know more than me they told me that some models never came to Brazil, I've never seen a Rolls Royce Inbrima but I will ask his friend to has all to know better and if you put the picture here, some models like Mustang 8 and Volkswagen 15 are some of the models that I believe have never been done here ..GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Welcome Hudson, thank's for bringing those models to the forum. Don't worry about the English, it's fine! Please remember that you are most welcome to post in Portuguese provided that it is always accompanied by an English translation.hudson-assis wrote:...sorry my english because I use a translator program...

Anyone have any objections to a separate 'Brazilian Matchbox' Topic on the main index page?
I think these can be quite special to collect and I have a few myself it would be nice to have a dedicated area where we can discuss and show images of Brazilian models. It may also be of assistance to help potential collectors to be able to identify the features of genuine models as there are sadly many Brazilian fakes out there for sale and in collections.

Fine by me, but we do need to be careful that we do not create too many different areas. Could we compromise on a sub-area within SF?motorman wrote:Anyone have any objections to a separate 'Brazilian Matchbox' Topic on the main index page?
