Anyone know what these are?
Paper cut-outs,appear to be of some age.
Also what is the red "thingy", has "Matchbox Superfast" and "Made in England" on it.

I believe the Red plastic piece is some sort of starting block reset key as shown in this picture.

Those signs look great. A budget alternative to the plastic or metal signs more often seen from various makers, but still very appealing, and I should think they must be rare survivors. Looks like Ghosty is probably correct about their origin. I have the London layout, but that one has no signs (at least my used example doesn't). Mind you, any signs would be taller than the flat buildings!

The red bit is half a track joiner from the superfast track sets. It is the third issue of track joiner from 1971 onwards.
These also came in yellow and later in black.
