I knew John Kinchen, who passed away last year. He wanted to leave his collection to a local museum, but unfortunately they were unable to accept it, so it's a shame it's now been broken up. I went to one of the viewing days, and it was great to see such a great selection of Dinkies on display. The staff were very helpful, so there was a good opportunity to properly examine the items. A lot of items on the first day in particular went for surprisingly low prices. On the other hand, a few items surprised me by how much they went for.

Hi all,
Some lovely stuff in this collection. Really sad to see it broken up. The problem with selling a big collection in one go is there's only so much money out there, so some items will go at lower prices. The South African Cortina is splendid, I would have loved that one.
