my 1976 camaro...i think this was like 1986 or so...took these pics for remembrance as i was about to sell it...also the pic was taken at my first full time job
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

this pic shows a very racy bug! .....no no, not the lady in the middle (thats my mom) but the car behind.
my first one. a powerful engine with 34HP. I had to change the rusty exhaust twice, also a teared gasrope, during a winter trip
the front window broke and I had to drive about 40kms to the next garage without shield. You should have seen my eyes then......

The first car i drove, having just past my driving test, was in 1985, it was my fathers pride and joy, a Ford Capri 3.0S, and I wrote it off on black ice (to be honest i was horsing it!!!), ( VERY BAD MEMORIES!!), and no photograph of my first set of wheels!!!, the whole experience cost me a fortune and my dad still casts it up to me, I can't think why? !!!!misterpop wrote:Engine was nothing radical..Just an old 1.6 we found somewhere to replace the 1300 if I remember rightly....Heres my sons Capri I was respraying for him plus one I had as a bit of fun for a while in 85.

No photos unfortunately, but these are what I consider to be the "classic" 1:1 cars I've owned:
1971 Rover 2000SC
1969 Sunbeam Rapier Fastback
1974 Sunbeam Rapier Fastback
1988 Audi 80 Quattro
Young family these days has ended my ownership of old 1:1 cars for a while...
Cheers,
Gavin

In Denmark new cars are very expensive due to tax, so old sportscars from germany is the best way to get something cheap and fun. Thanks for sharing.

A restored MG roadster cost around 15.000£ in DK you get those for 6-7000£ in Germany. I have had many cars and you can allway find a better, faster, nicer and cheaper in germany. Yes old marinas and "normal cars" from 70-80 you can get cheap. But I will never buy a sportscar here.
