Lee's new additions

Post by Lee@kai76 »

Thought I would share some more of what I have just purchased recently, I know the model's are your run of the mill, but I would like to hear what other people think of what I am collecting as I am fairly new to it.

Hello Lee, what a great collection, showing how 'Regular Wheel' and 'Superfast' models can mix together nicely. You have a very nice hard to find "Cream" Ice Cream Van and Two Rolls-Royce models, great choice...you have gone very high up on my Christmas card sending list... :D

I'd be very happy with those Lee, all nice clean additions to your collection. The tanker is one of my favourites. The grey engine Diplomat is nice to have and I would classify the Ice Cream Van in the same bracket rather than hard to find. Nick's code 23 with the striped roof decal is one I haven't seen many of though.

Hi everyone, thankyou for the kind comments, and just to let you all know I have definitely been enjoying my collecting more since joining the forum.

About the Rollers I also love them too Ghosthunter, I have got a few of them now, I also have a thing for all the Mercedes models....I hope you are serious about the Christmas card because I never get many.. ;)

The gas tanker is one of my favourites too Johnboy, definitely of the larger models anyway, and it was smaller than I expected when I opened the package which made me like it more.

Two models I have just got to get shortly if possible is an e type jag and the major pack Cooper jarrett, that's if I have the available funds, as I think I've already mentioned I am collecting silver coins too and need some more to complete the series/sets.

Hello Lee, I'll make sure you get a Christmas card... :D

I won't say I like Rolls-Royce as it would be the understatement of the Century...

Why don't you bring some of your coin collection into the 'Any other Hobbies' thread that you started, there may be others interested in seeing some and knowing some History.

Lee can you please post an image of the base of the SF #69, in particular the rear wheel/hub area so that we can determine if it is a 'Longseat' variation. Ghosty will be desperate to know!!!! Won't you Kevin? :D

I will put a few pictures up of some coins I collect tmrw
Where you said, most of my collection are quite recent bullion silver coins but I do also collect some Victorian British coins/and similar aged coins from the US.

Do you really want those images motorman or are you winding someone up. :)

I will also try to show the cortina I posted better because I have been looking at where the axles are clipped in to, which is white and all the others I have looked at it looks brown.

Alex is right, I am itching to see the underside of the #69 Rolls-Royce drop top, but refrained from mentioning it as I did not want to confuse anyone with terminology currently not in use, because no 'Long Seat' versions have been shown or discussed lately... :D
