33c Miura.

Post by MatchboxFreak »

I recently picked up a 33c Lamborgini Muira with a fluorescent pink base and 10mm x 4mm wheels.

According to Nick's list the pink base Muira should have enlarged wheel arches

Comparing the new addition with my Muiras with 11mm x 2mm wheels, I do not think it has enlarged wheel arches.

The new model is at the top of the photos below. Do you all think it has small or enlarged arches?

Thanks!

Those arches are certainly the earlier type but I'd check that the rivets are nice and tight, because it is possible to prise off the base on this model.

If everything's tight as a drum, you've got yourself a very nice, unlisted variation.

Can we please start calling this beautiful car by its real name. Every time I read about the Lambo it's written Muira on this site.
But it's a Miura. MIURA. MI-U-RA. MEE-OORAH. ;)

I thought this was a mistake by Lesney (like the "Volkswagon") but it even says so on the baseplate... :P

Very good point. Could we all ensure that in future we spell Muira correctly. ;)

  My bad on the spelling!

The good news is the Miura's base is tight. the rivets are tight to the base, stand a bit proud, look evenly rounded and match each other. No sharp edges or scratches (at the rivets).
It cost only 50p, so likely no huge profit with a base swap.

So I am a happy camper. :)
