That is an excellent restore and yes, it does look good in Black, the best colour for any London Cab.

To be honest, whenever i think about a London taxi, its black. Why did they paint it maroon?

Lesney didn't do black as a body colour, not even for Rolls Royces. (I think this must have been Company policy.) Off the top of my head, I think the first black 1-75 was the JPS-liveried 5e Lotus Europa.

Yep, pretty sure that was the first one where the whole model was black. The 48a Meteor Boat came with a black trailer.

Excellent rebirth and on my screen, it is a lovely rich Yellow, nice working of any damage after it stepping-on saga... :D

Thanks Johnboy - I have the same in mind as you.

Here is an Jaguar with a new hood, new window unit and fresh paint.
The roof was bent because somebody stepped on it but somehow I was able to fix it.
