Back in 1988 the model club I'd recently joined had a display at the Wembley Classic Car Show. I took along a few of my repaints, and one managed to sneak into a picture in Classic Cars magazine. We also had some preproduction resins of the forthcoming Matchbox Dinky range on loan to display. I remember having to reattach a wheel which fell off the Fordson van! The one which people tended to be most excited about was the Land Rover, but when the actual model came out it seemed to be sightly disappointing.
We had some promotional balloons to give away to visitors, and after the show I found a couple left over. Unfortunately they haven't aged well. One went all nasty and stuck together, and the remaining one looks like it is heading the same way.

Nice to have the balloons still, but the condition leaves me a bit deflated.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Sorry Fred, but that story is just a load of air...
