Large Lot- YY, Dinky, Corgi, Battlekings

Post by RSSierra »

Deceased estate lot, photo's aren't the best.

I was attracted to the Military Dinkies at the back, but lots of variety elsewhere, Britains Africa Corps motorcyclist, American diecast open top coupe. A couple of 1/18ths and a heap of boxed items.

Pick up is this afternoon, so if anyone wants close ups of anything let me know. The Dinky and Corgi toys will show up in my threads for these brands.

Cheers

Dave

I can not see anything that grabs my attention for a closer look, they all look pretty normal at the moment, maybe some separate pictures of the Lledo and Yesteryear models might throw up something more interesting.

Check the base of the Chubb's Garrett. Early examples had an error. "GARRETT" had the "E" missing, hence "GARRTT" was cast. These were actually late run preproduction models that were released to the market.

Texaco is also nice with the larger front wheel centre. Chubb's has the small cast triangles at the rear so unlikely to be a mis-spelt version.

Nice that the Matchbox Battlekings tank driver pictured with the Army Tank Transporter and Tank still has his head. They are usually found decapitated :o :o :o

BTW I was the only other bidder so you'll be able to see my TM username.

Hey Ian

Sorry about that.........when I first wen't into the pictures there were no bids, when I went back to the listing to hit BIN...I saw your bid, we were obviously in the Same place at the same time.......it's a bit of a punt really, the batmobile needs parts but the bat boat doesn't look too bad. Man from uncle car and a couple of other Corgi toys look decent....maybe. Several Dinky toys for parts or restoration and a decent group of Skykings, plus plenty of Superfast, most of the latter seem to be damaged, but some look OK including the Holden ute and trailer has most of the bikes.

I'll be picking up mid week so some may feature here. If they don't you'll know your caution was justified.

Cheers
