Wrapped in toilet paper

Just wondering what people think of their Lesney's or any other brand arriving wrapped in toilet paper. Do you find that off putting?
What about packed within a toilet paper cardboard roll?

I've had both of these things happen in the past and it's not a great way to be packing anything, but if the model gets to me safe (and the toilet roll is clean, eeew) I can live with it. Strange though, clean tissues are often used and they don't have the same connotation to me.

I have yet recieved models packed within a toilet paper cardboard roll. And even one in a milk brick that was the parcel in fact.

I always send models in sturdy boxes with the model wrapped in tissue paper, usually inside its own box if it has one. Plenty of bubblewrap around the model/model box and additional packaging to make the whole thing as mail bomb proof as possible. I actually don't mind how a model arrives as long as it arrives undamaged and as described. what I don't like is receiving something that has needlessly been damaged because of careless or unnecessarily poor packaging.

I've had models arrive in all sorts of packing from home vendors. So long as the model and it's box arrive safely, it matters not what materials are used. However, professional auction houses that send models in second hand cardboard boxes stuffed with old newsprint and charge the Earth for post & packaging really piss me off. LSK are bad for this.

Personally, I wrap the model within it's box and add a few poly chips to stop it moving about. Wrap the box in tissue/kitchen roll, then bubble wrap. Pack the lot in another box with plenty of poly chips and tape securely. Incidently, I never tape bubble wrap as it can be a swine to get the tape off and it's easy to damage the contents either by squashing or nicking with scissors when removing the tape.

I can personally confirm that Rob takes great care to ensure anything he sells arrives as described. Exceptionally well packaged every time.

So long as it safe any package is OK except a jiffy bag. ...or recycled toilet paper. ....I use bubble wrap then pack out the box with foam padding or more bubble wrap. .....power to the bubble

I would have no issue with toilet paper as long as it was clean , but have yet to have anything packed in it so far. Scrunched newsprint to stop the model from moving around seems to be most common and of course bubble wrap.

Yes Bob - a real swine to find the end of the tape and to get it off a tightly wrapped model... I usually use masking tape as its easily seen and designed to come off...
