42B Studebaker Lark Wagonaire - Help !

Post by Matchboxpat »

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to catalogue the 42B... In the Stannard Book, there is one variable which is the "B" inside the Roof Slide, but it's not considered in Nick's list of variations. Stannard lists 6 variations that would come down to only three if this variable is not considered. Now, because Nicks takes into account more body color variations, his list has 11 different model variations. Now, how many would there be, if the "B" variable is taken into account, and what would be the breakdown ? Do I hear "22" ?? :o Or maybe a little less ? :?:

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I think 22 is probably a good first guess since I suspect the roof difference to be merely the result of paired castings.
Please note that we have a major thread on the 42b which includes a new body colour and casting differences affecting the window insert.

Thanks Idris. Although 22 makes a lot of sense, it would be interesting in seeing if all probable variations do exist.
