Er... I had one but I was young and inexperienced at the time and it was in Germany and cheap in comparison to BMW and Audi.misterpop wrote:Only me then?
I did later see the error of my ways!

My only dabble with BL was an Austin Metro van with failed hydrolastic suspension that put the front wheels at such a camber the thing would corner like a go-cart and cock it's inside rear wheel like a dog
In standard van colour of white with a dayglo yellow stripe megaphone and flashing roof lights
Funniest trip was on the Thames embankment, whilst sitting at some traffic lights a police car pulled alongside and I had a bit of banter about my stripes being better than his cheap looking orange ones. ...it was at this point my mate realised that rolling himself a joint was probably not the best thing to do

I wish I'd been there to see that Reg and I would have studied the copper's, face hard for any signs of realization of what was happening right under his nose...

It was fun
When I was young free and single it used to be our main entertainment winding up a couple of the local bobbies leading them all over the place in our cars popping out just in front or behind them then loosing them again in the back streets

Just reminded me .I had two Metro's an all....I kid you not when I say one had a crack in the cylinder wall that let water into the cylinder if I had the radiator cap on tight, and filled up so much the starter could'nt turn the engine till I had pulled a plug and let it chuff itself dry enough to fire up after screwing back the plug..When you have no pot to piss in and you are a complete car freak ,needs must..
