The Woody I really like with the yellow base, Simplex is the brighter red and gold bit chipped, Packard in all red is nice on display .The Rolls needed some extra metal parts which I found on a donor model, very nice with the red plastic seats .

I don't know how you find them !! Packard already discussed but the Y22 looks nice with the yellow chassis. For kevin - I just had 2 of theose Rolls come through my hands and one is here in Oz and the other went to the Czech Republic so this is 3 of your dozen or so models. Is the Rolls the same as mine, very flat paint, almost an undercoat and if you rub it to hard it will come off the body.

Jason, Regarding your Lomas addition... I think that is the first time I've even seen photographic evidence that this variation exists. Nicely done! Happy for you!

I believe Numi showed us pictures of hers she found that was dead Mint Greg. It may have been a couple of years ago now, and perhaps even her BP wheels seemed to be 1/2 mm different in diameter than Stannard's notation if I remember correctly. There are not many of these Lomas Ambulances here in the U.S. with Knobbly Tires, let alone one with the early roof crosses on it such as Jason's. What a Great piece you have found there that has been on my "Want List" for over 40 years now! Good Show lad! :D kwakers

Hi Mick,
Yes the paint looks very flat and thin, a lot of paint has come off already. The Y22 is the 2nd one I have found now with the yellow base, recent one being in a charity lot of models and the condition was amazing considering the box it was packed in.

Thankyou for the comments, waiting for this one to arrive seem to take ages. Although I could see the roof cross and black wheels in the pictures the base rivet and axle ends were not clear, so until I had checked it I could not be happy. Once checked i was happy to finally tick this one off the massive list of models needed, another model I thought I would never see.

Just added this cracking wheel error, the wheel must have been painted the wrong way round to start with. Also on a light green model as well, very happy to get an error on the first model.

Very nice J, a triple bonus (an oops, light green and it's in great condition) :)

Why don't we get together and buy 'J' a metal detector, then when he has found Golden nuggets etc, we can all share the fortunes...
