hey guys... a team i root for won the national championship in basketball...villanova university

i worked there in high school from 1978 and 1980 in one of the hall kitchens...the philly area doesnt get many championships so this is special!...im so pumped up...i wont be sleeping tonight haha! im sure i will though!

anyone watch the game?

Don't think it is broadcast in the UK and I,m not a sports person anyway really, my sports are more sedate like Tennis, Snooker, darts and some Motor racing.

im too old for tennis...but i like watching the girls play

Congratulations on being a fan and close to Villanova! I am a huge basketball fan and believe that this was one of the best "March Madness" tournaments and definitely one of the best Championship basketball games EVER!

it was a great tourney as usual...even better when my or your favorite team wins...villanova sure took it to their opponents and it paid off with great defense!

a friend of mine still works there...after high school he left for a few years and ended up back there and became a chef and became the head of the dining hall we used to be part time workers as kids...he got tired of the big hall and moved to the monastary and is executive chef for the priests that live there

Congrats to you Dan, and all the Villanova fans. That was an exceptionally good game last night.
Our local Cincinnati-based Xavier University was fighting with Villanova all season long through that difficult Big East Conference season. Your guys came out on top but a good year for Xavier as well.
My Michigan State Spartans got clobbered early on and really messed up my bracket. There's always next year!

thanks Greg and i was sweating it every time villanova played xavier this year...i was surely thinking villanova and xavier were going to be fighting it out in the finals of the big east tourney...but seton hall took out xavier and then villanova

if villanova won they may have gotten a #1 seed and who knows what wouldve or couldve happened...i think they didnt have as much pressure on them being a #2 seed...their defense was solid the whole tourney and their shooting was too until the NC game last night but their defense played great!

i hate when my team is out early when i had them going far...i didnt play a bracket this year as i just wanted to watch the games for the games sake!

there is always next year!
