Hi all,
Here's a cheap Dinky knock off by a little London based outfit, never came to much, and obviously cheapskates as it was so bloody tiny...

it has always been a wonder to me why so many manufacturers made their own versions of the same cars
the one that stands out the most to me is the ford corsair which always seems to be a 2 door which was the less common one
modern makers like Carama do a 2 door I even have a silver plated one towing a caravan money box

Hi all,
Seriously though Telsalda and others made some really lovely stuff. Copies of Dinky, Corgi,& Lesney in particular. I don't have any Dinky copies, as they mostly fall outside my timeline, just a couple of M,box copy Removals vans. I really want the BOAC coach though. Get these while they are still, relatively, cheap.

Another lead Dinky copy, this time of the 35b/200 Midget Racer. It is solid lead with the axles cast in, and 2 piece tinplate wheels. There have been a few similar examples through Vectis but I can't quite make out if the wheels are the same.

Hi Mate,
These are lovely, I've got one of the black market ones, and I've subscribed to the series. Most will be sold on though. The 920 Heinz Guy's out too,but I've yet to see it.
Cheers

Interesting you post this in the Dinky Copies thread. I simply can not decide if these should be classed as copies or re-issues.

1, They carry the Dinky brand name because they have been sanctioned by MATTEL, current owner of the Dinky Toys name.
2, They are not made from original tooling, they are 'Cad-Cam' designs.

So, what do other members think?

I also cannot decide if they are copies or just a re-issue,I tell you what they do, though. They bring a smile to my face and remind me of 50 years ago receiving the real versions.I have some of the re-issue cars as well.

I've got a set of the Dan Toys Guys as well. With the new Atlas models it is possible to make up a brilliant display for not that much really.
