Spot the gems or - why did they pay that much?

Post by Miller »

This an ended live auction, which i followed the last days. Ok, they look not bad, but i thinks this is a lot of money for them. Is there something special in this offer?

I can't speak to any gems in the collection except to say I don't see any special Regular Wheels. If the buyer intends to re-sell the models they could probably make a profit as they were bought at just over 2 GBP apiece. Especially true if they are resold individually. Macdonald

I can't see anything particularly rare but I'm still a beginner at Superfasts,
But the toys are all in super condition and my guess is they will be stocking up a toyfair traders table very soon.

Hi Roland,

it´s arround 2,90 Euros for one model.
Most of them seems to be in good condition.
I don´t think it is to expensive.

Last picture shows green AMX Javelin in top left corner with what looks like rare white interior.

Others that look good and are desirable are Orange 34a Formula 1 racing car, Light Orange 18a Field Car with checker label, 48a Dodge Dumper Truck, 13a BP Wreck Truck and 47b Blue Beach Hopper with scarcer yellow interior.

A few nice less common (but not rare) variants - the motorcycle trailer in the first picture from twin pack with dark green bike and matching orange Field Car, Beach Hopper with yellow interior, Woosh'n'Push with flower label, orange Gruesome Twosome with very small looking wheels, yellow Toe Joe, orange Formula 1 - all look in quite nice condition. But as Rob points out, the white interior Javelin means the rest of it comes for free - very nice piece.

Cheers,
Gavin
